The St. Francois County Recorder of Deeds office is located on the first floor of the courthouse annex building (easier accessible from rear main parking lot entrance). The office is here to record, maintain and archive: deeds, liens, marriage licenses, surveys, plats and military discharge documents. All deed index books as well as all documents recorded in our office are now available online! You can access these through Tapestry in the “Land Records Search” tab, or you may contact our office about a Laredo subscription.  If you have any questions, please contact our office.

THE RECORDER WILL NO LONGER BE TAKING MARRIAGE LICENSE APPLICATIONS TO FARMINGTON CORRECTIONAL CENTER (FCC) IN FARMINGTON, MISSOURI OR TO EASTERN RECEPTION DIAGNOSTIC CORRECTIONAL CENTER (ERDCC) IN BONNE TERRE, MISSOURI.

OUR OFFICE WILL BE IMPLEMENTING THE “AFFIDAVIT OF ABSENT APPLICANT” PROCESS.  THE PARTY THAT IS “NOT ABSENT” WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ACCESSING THE AFFIDAVIT WHICH IS LOCATED BELOW UNDER THE ABSENT APPLICANT MARRIAGE LICENSE APPLICATION TAB FOR THE “ABSENT” PARTY AND FOR PRESENTING THE NOTARIZED DOCUMENTS AND PAYMENT TO OUR OFFICE FOR THE MARRIAGE LICENSE TO BE ISSUED.  THE FEE WILL BE $60.00 CASH OR MONEY ORDER OR $62.00 DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD.
